Quarantine Question

Updated: Dec 6, 2021

Today many of us find ourselves in self-quarantine situations. As days pass concerns grow. We start to get antsy. Patience is tested. Nerves are stretched. Anxiety rises and so much more.

Passing time can be a creative challenge. Board games, internet and social media stuff, along with TV binging round out the top of the list.

In it all, some may find that it is quite hard to find much to laugh about. As I laid in bed contemplating this, there were a few deep and thoughtful questions (yes, I do get them once in a blue moon) that came to my mind. And so, I thought we would take a moment to divert from our normal blog topics to address these pertinent questions.

Question One:

How much of an effect will this quarantine have on us? Well, I’m not going to lie to you, even the best among us will have some struggles getting back into the swing of things after such an extended layoff from active duty:

We can only hope it is sooner rather than later!

Question Two:

What has been the deal with toilet paper? It was the very first thing people bought up before anything else and within days it sold out everywhere. Now, no matter where you go toilet paper is nowhere to be found. People are having to go down the list to the next “go-to” products such as paper towels and Kleenex. I pondered this dilemma for some days, retreating in deep solitude as I searched diligently through the vast universe for answers. But then, out of the blue, like a bolt of lightning, like a bulb that turned on, like, well actually, while binge-watching, a commercial came on the TV talking about being “hiney clean”. Then it dawned on me that fear was the motivator. Fear brought on by scary visions of quarantined life with no answer as to how long that meant. And the dreaded thought of shortages in a most prized possession. Of youthful experience and lessons learned. Yea, we learn early in life its importance:

Lesson learned! We only need to learn it once! Just because you can doesn’t mean you should. Use TP!

This all will be over soon.

Take a moment and consider all the other times in your past you just didn’t think you were going to make it. Of times you didn’t think you would get through. Or, you weren’t sure how you would survive.

Somehow, someway you did and today you are now able to look back at it as a distant memory. We can do this, we can get through! Be encouraged!

Until next time, we wish you LOVE, JOY and PEACE!
