A new year is upon us. The traditional celebrations, expectations, promises and goals will be made once again with some adjustments based on what all transpired this past year.
It is much easier to get depressed, to become negative, bitter, and willing to give up than it is to remain hopeful, encouraged, and positive in the face of things.
It is not hard to focus on the storms in life. However, there is more to see than just that. Storms come and go. Life is full of change. So, as we move into the coming year and you are struggling with seeing the future bright, keep these few things in mind:
1. You have faced storms before and yet you made it through to see better days. You survived your past and so too you will survive your present.
2. Look past the things that bring you down and see those things that surround your life. The blessings and the good you do have. Do you still have a job or business? Count your blessings! Still, have family and friends? You are doing well! A roof over your head and food on the table? You are rich! Have a loving, supportive spouse? You have a special key to unlock doors! Look around, you have more than you think to encourage you.
3. If things have not been working out so well, this coming year may be the time to reinvent yourself, your business, your career path, what you are doing, where you are living, and how you handle relationships. It is said that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
4. Think creatively, out-of-the-box to get through what you need to get through. And remember….
It’s not over until it’s over. Until then, get up, brush yourself off, and go for another shot at life!
Yvonne and I pray that you and those in your family have a NEW YEAR’S BREAKTHROUGH!
Until next time, we wish you LOVE, JOY & PEACE!
